Beitou Hot Springs
Thanks to i ts high quality spring water, the Beitou area in northern Taipei has been a favorite hot spring destination since the Japanese occupat ion era. The slightly acidic springs are said to be
good for relieving arthritis, soar muscles and other ailments.
Take the MRT Danshui Line to Xinbeitou Station and walk about 5 minutes.
Yangmingshan Hot Springs
The hot springs at Yangmingshan are clustered at the western foothills of Shamao Mountain between
Lieu-ku and Qiku. Lengshueikeng,Macao, and Gengziping are also popular spring destinations here.
Take the 260 bus from Taipei Main Station.
Jinshan Hot Springs
The hot springs in the north coast township of Jinshan are fed by clear and soothing water from
the Datun volcanic mountain range. In recent years, this area has grown in popularity to become one of Taiwan's hot spring hot spots.
From Keelung Train Stat ion take the Jinshan-bound Keelung Bus.
Wulai Hot Springs
The hot springs at Wulai in New Taipei City are dotted along the Nanshi and Tonghou rivers in a lush natural setting,complete with cherry blossoms in season. The springs here are clear, odorless and slightly alkaline.
Take the MRT Green Line to Xindian Stat ion and catch the Wulai-bound Sindian Bus.
Guguan Hot Springs
Situated on the Central Cross-Island Highway, the scenic Guguan hot springs are fed by alkaline carbonic acid waters rich in mineral content. This is one of the most secluded and naturally pristine springs in Taiwan.
From Taichung city take the Dongshior Guguan-bound Fengyuan Bus.
Guanziling Hot Springs
One of the top-four hot spring sites in Taiwan, Guanziling is home to the "Black Springs," so named for their high mudstone and mineral content. Like a natural spa, this is a good place to pamper your skin and restore your spirits.
Take the train to Chiayi and continue to Guanziling on the Chiayi Bus.
Jiaoxi Hot springs
A convenient trip from Taipei, Jiaoxi is known for its clear,odorless and mineral-rich hot springs, which are said to be good for the skin. Make sure to try the delicious spring-irrigated veggies served up at the local eateries.
Take the train to Jiaoxi Station.
Zhiben Hot Springs
The Zhiben hot springs are divided into two spring areas.The outer spring area is where many of the resorts are clustered,while the inner springs are near the Forest Recreation Area. The springs in both areas are fed by alkaline carbonic acid waters.
Take the train to the old Taitung Station and continue by bus or taxi to the springs.

The mineral-rich waters of the Sichong River area in Pingtung County are said to be good for treating skin conditions, nerves and other chronic ailments. The water is clear, odorless and potable.
Take the King Bus to Checheng and then take the Sichong River-bound Hengchun Bus.
Zhaori Hot Springs
Situated on beautiful Green Island, the hot springs of Zhaori are fed by saltwater and command a panoramic view of the sea. There are three outdoor pools to choose from.
Take a plane or boat to Green Island and ride a rental scooter to the springs.
