Flower and Orchard Holiday in Taiwan

There are dozens of idyllic flower farms and youpick orchards in the Taoyuan-Xinzhu-Miaoli area. Most have teahouses to enjoy the rustic setting among the blooms and fruit.

Sun & Green (Guanyin)
From May to October, the sunflowers at Sun & Green come into brilliant bloom, turning the farm into an unbroken expanse of yellow. The farm also has an outdoor cafe, BBQ area, and offers DIY classes.

Great Miaoli Strawberry Farm
The organic strawberries grow big and sweet in the rich soil of this recreation you-pick farm. Throngs of visi tors come to pick the berries during the harvest season from Dec. to April.

Wu Zhuo-yang Recreation Farm
This multifunctional recreation farm is abloom with lotuses, roses and other flowers throughout the year. Strawberries, golden tomatoes and other produce are also grown here.

Tomita Farm
Lavender (in April), coreopsis (June), sage, snapdragons, sunflowers and a variety of other blooms and herbs can be enjoyed at this scenic farm in Dasi Township.

Ta Shee Blooming Oasis
With two hectares of planted lavender, this recreation farm turns into a field of purple in the blossom season. Lavender cuisine and western fare are the specialties at the Van Gogh, a picturesque European styled restaurant.

Hakka Culture in Neiwan & Beipu

Neiwan and Beipu are home to large Hakka communities, the cultural influence of which can be seen in the local architecture and cuisine. Neiwan Train Station This station welcomes visitors with rustic charm and scenic surroundings. The building is colorfully adorned with illustrations by a well-known local cartoonist.
